Bettina Schlorhaufer, Dr. phil.

Born in 1963 in Innsbruck, studied art history and history at the Leopold-Franzens University Innsbruck. 1988 Doctorate with honors, thesis on “The History of a regional museum of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in the pre-March: The association of the Tyrolean National Museum Ferdinandeum 1823–1848”. 1989/1990 post-doctoral studies at the Institut Supérieur de Management Culturel ISMC (Paris), diploma 1990 with a concept for a Musée Nina Ricci in the perfume factory of Nina Ricci in Ury/Fontainebleau. Construction of an archive for the Nina Ricci Group.

Work as a scientist in the field of arts and cultural management and as a curator (including the exhibitions “New Architecture in South Tyrol 2000–2006” and “Gion A. Caminada – Cul zuffel el l’aura dado”/”Architecture with the winds”). 2005–2007 Senior Curator of the gallery in Rabalderhaus Schwaz, Tirol (including the exhibition with catalogue “Heinz Tesar – Notat Objekt Text”). In parallel, “excursions” into the field of contemporary music (including idea and project management: Philip Glass’ “Tirol Concerto for Piano and Orchestra”/Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra and Dennis Russell Davies, Orange Mountain Music and Erkki-Sven Tüür’s “Oxymoron/Music for Tirol”, both pieces premiered by the Festival Klangspuren).
From 2009 to 2013 assistant at the Institute of Architectural Theory and Architectural History, Department of Architectural Theory (Univ.-Prof. Ir. Bart Lootsma). 2011 Habilitation in “Modern Architecture”. Lecturer at the University of Liechtenstein and the Institute of Architectural Theory and Architectural History, Architectural Theory Studio.
Since 2012 Head of the research project “Musch & Lun. Architects, entrepreneurs and politicians of the Gründerzeit in South Tyrol. Part 1) Inventory of Musch & Lun archive (TWF-project 06.2012.–08.2012) and Part 2) work-up and interpretation of Musch & Lun archive (Autonomous Province of Bolzano, Office for promotion of education, University and Research, 03.2013–09.2015).
