Symposium / Border Regimes & New Territorial Formations / 20.5.2015, 18.00

15.05.2015

In the contemporary world, environmental transformation, globalization and the digital mediatization of virtually every aspect of human existence, seem both materially and symbolically to demand that we see and make connections between everything and everything else. The symposium takes up this challenge by developing a range of innovative perspectives and methodologies for engaging with some of the most fiercely debated and potentially devastating issues in our political, social, legal and epistemological landscapes. The participants behind the symposium share a recognition of the increasing difficulty of identifying and addressing the appearance of ‚new territories’, the complex causes behind them and the increasing urgency today of doing just this.
